We booked ski school at Grand Targhee for our two kids, it went way better than I was preparing myself for. The instructor was really patient, which was much appreciated since getting kids comfortable on skis is apparently not as simple as everyone likes to pretend. By the end of the day, they were actually feeling confident. Check-in was easy too, even with our usual gear explosion situation, so that was a nice surprise. The kids were exhausted but happy, which was basically the whole goal. We’d definitely do lessons here again

I had such a great day here! There were so many different runs to choose from, mellow groomers, fun tree sections, and some steeper stuff when I wanted a little challenge. I never felt bored once. Super solid mountain and a really fun place to ride 🏂

Some of the runs were groomed really nicely, but a few others felt bumpy early on... It wasn’t terrible or anything, just a bit mixed depending on where you went that day.

The snow was actually really good and we had a fun time overall, but the prices felt steep for what it was. Also, a couple of interactions with staff left me feeling a bit talked down to, which kind of took away from the experience. I’d still consider going back, but I’d probably think twice depending on the cost.

everyone we ran into was so nice, from the ticket window to the lift crew. we had a few basic questions, and nobody made us feel silly for asking, which i really appreciated.
it just made the day feel way more relaxed and easy. the friendly staff really stood out to us, and i’d definitely book through grandtarghee.com again...

I don’t know if I just got lucky or if I’m overhyping it, but the snow felt really good all weekend. Nice soft powder most of the time, and I barely hit any icy spots

Parking was actually easy, and getting in and out wasn’t a problem. I was kind of expecting it to be more of a hassle, but thankfully that part went smoothly

I was kind of expecting the usual rental hassle, but it was smooth. The gear was in good shape, and before I even had time to start overthinking sizes and all that, the staff jumped in and helped me out fast. Nice little win before getting on the mountain.

the beds were really cozy. I slept well and felt comfortable during my stay.

The booking process was quick and simple. I think it’s only fair to give credit when something works the way it should, and this was a smooth experience from start to finish.

We just ate at Grand Targhee after a long day on the mountain, it hit the spot so much more than I expected. Maybe I’m still riding the high from being cold and tired, but the burgers, soup, and beers all felt perfect in the moment. Everything came out hot, and the staff were really friendly even though it was busy. It’s definitely mountain pricing, so not exactly cheap, but standard for a ski resort. Based on this last visit, I’d absolutely go back.

We went on a Saturday that looked packed, but I don’t remember waiting around much at all. A few lifts had lines, sure, but they moved quick, and a couple times we pretty much skied right on. I’m probably forgetting the tiny waits, but the day felt way smoother than I expected.
